Ann Arbor, Mich. -- August 20, 2007 -- Drivaware, DiMora Motorcar's latest Technology Partner, will provide the LaneFX Active Blind Spot Exposure System on every Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan.
In this collaboration, Drivaware will provide LaneFX Commuter Edition systems to deliver leading-edge blind spot protection through the Natalia's power side mirrors. When the driver activates the Natalia's turn signal, LaneFX will provide lane change protection by automatically swiveling a side mirror outward to uncover any unseen passing vehicles. Similarly, when the driver shifts into reverse, the ParkFX feature of LaneFX will provide essential backover visibility by tilting one or both power side mirrors downward to enhance the driver's rearward field of view.
The Natalia SLS 2 platform marks Drivaware's first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) implementation of its driver awareness technologies, including LaneFX and ParkFX. The integration of the LaneFX system into the Natalia SLS 2 platform includes LaneFX hardware, Commuter Edition firmware, and vehicle integration consulting services, as well as marketing support.
"The Natalia SLS 2 program showcases America's ability to design and build the world's most technologically-advanced luxury vehicles," says DiMora Motorcar Founder and CEO Alfred DiMora. "From the outset, we knew that total driver awareness would be an essential requirement in our ultra-luxury vehicle. We found Drivaware's LaneFX system to be uniquely innovative and an effective approach to solving the perpetual blind spot problem. From an automaker's perspective, LaneFX is a universal product, which gives us flexibility in choosing our power mirror supplier."
"The Drivaware team is very pleased with DiMora's selection of our LaneFX system," says Kal Malhas, Drivaware Founder and President. "We think that driver awareness is becoming a key area of differentiation for luxury automakers. DiMora's Natalia SLS 2 is an ideal technology platform to leverage the intuitive, seamless blind spot exposure functions provided by LaneFX." |
