Lee Sun-Don

Taiwanese artist and Buddhist Zen Master Lee Sun-Don creates masterpieces in so many diverse contemporary art genres that his collaboration with Sir Alfred J. DiMora to produce the limited-edition Vicci 6.2 Emperor series of rolling art automobiles cannot be considered a surprise. Having received hundreds of awards and with galleries around the world seeking his participation, Master Lee continues to surprise the art world with the unconventional niches he explores with creative fresh ideas. Who else would have chosen the theme of ancient Chinese door knockers to unify the 25 original paintings to adorn modern automobiles based upon neoclassic automotive design concepts? The Great Treasure Gate series will certainly stand the test of time.
A good place to start to understand the diversity of Lee Sun-Don's work is to visit The Art Studio of Lee Sun-Don at arts.sundon.net

The Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research, CU-ICAR, conducts research and educates graduate students to fill the integration gap between basic research and commercial application of automotive technologies. CU-ICAR graduate students, under faculty supervision, are assessing suspension technology options for the DiMora Motorcar Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan.
Most university research groups and technology start-up firms concentrate on narrow niches of technology. Successful automotive technology application, however, requires availability of methods that span design/development integration of technologies to parts, systems and vehicles; manufacturing and supply integration of processes from material sourcing through part creation, assembly and delivery; and concurrent engineering integration of design and development with manufacturing and supply. CU-ICAR conducts research that provides value by addressing the need for these integration methods.
Integration methods alone, however, are not enough. Application of innovations requires the availability of people who are both knowledgeable about the methods and ready to use them to bring those innovations to market in timely fashion. CU-ICAR includes a unique automotive engineering graduate education program whose students help develop the methods and then graduate to industry where they apply them n either automotive OEM or supplier settings.
In the end, the methods and people involved with innovation must address the needs of industry and market. CU-ICAR is a place for entrepreneurial collaboration and partnership between university, industry and government to quickly address market needs together in ways that facilitate economic growth.
DiMora Motorcar is about showcasing new technologies. CU-ICAR is about developing the methods and people to make showcase technologies ready for the automotive OEM market.
